Appian announce the launch of Point & Shoot with Talon SP May 2004
POINT & SHOOT provides easy deployment with minimal camera and application set-up. It accurately reads rotated plates, with an automatic de-rotation feature. A robust trigger ensures excellent results when reading different sized plates, both small or large, near or far. Point and Shoot also accurately reads rectangular or square plates, both normal and inverse.
TALON SP operates on various PC Platforms with high performance, 24 hour operation, 365 days a year. It incorporates automatic 'in picture' trigger, international plate reading capability using Neural Network technology for vehicle and number plate image capture.
Applications include access control and general policing with emphasis on counter-terrorism and enforcement. CCTV integration, car park and traffic management are used extensively in towns and cities.
Appian Technology's Chairman, Patrick Ryan, said, " We are delighted to announce this new enhancement to our internationally renowned Talon ALPR system and look forward to many more additions to our range in the future."
